“I don’t know if he can score 20 goals a season, but he can play on the wing or behind a centre-forward. He’s a big influence on the team.”
Since moving from his hometown club River Plate to Manchester City in 2022, the 24-year-old Alvarez has consistently impressed as the team’s super support, making 103 appearances in all competitions, scoring 36 goals and winning several trophies with the team.
Alvarez’s future at City is currently uncertain, with Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid closely monitoring the situation.
However, despite his success and playing the ninth most minutes in the City squad last year, the 24-year-old has suggested he is unhappy with his game time and could push to leave Manchester this transfer window.
